  • Overvibe's debut is a groove masterwork!
    author: Robert Smith

Overvibe's debut is a groove masterwork and a must have for anyone with their ears bent towards the next step in rock. Everytrack is singleworthy and will invade your mental radio station. The Lite Revolva has been a mainstay in my cd player since I got it. I am to understand that I am the first lucky recipient here in the states. I can't wait to get it played on the radio out here. • The vocals immediately conjure flavours of Thom York
    author: Rev

The only negative thing I can say about Overvibe...is that we all can't write this well. Definitely some rock envy here. The vocals immediately conjure flavours of Thom York but the parallels end with the abruptness of your average mid season replacement show on WarnerBrothers. The coupling of extraordinarily delivered and processed voice over loFi keys had me back for a second and third listen. To all you label moguls out there... You haven’t signed them yet, what are you stupid? Do the listening public a favour and give us Overvibe now!

  • It won't be long before this band are the vibe.
author: Essential Guide Nottingham Evening Post

Essential Guide Nottingham Evening Post OVERVIBE Lite Revolva (DaddyTeen) 4 stars out of 5 **** Digital music has a tendency to sound impassionate, heartless and flat. But sampler-happy Overvibe show more life than a swarm of bees at an apiphobic picnic. Strong vocals curl over military drums, layers of squelching and crafted choruses. Opener i rises with INXS-ish confidence, the brooding harmonies plunging between disco beats. The riotous LA Calling mixes Perry Farrel soprano with distorted, siren guitars. The Nottingham twosome switch between contemporary, computerised chords and throwback guitar riffs with seamless blends. Find Me throbs with thick punk guitars before launching into a pure pop chorus, while the closing breakbeat of 1:2:10 causes involuntary, anaphylactic headnodding. There's enough variety, depth and good old aural appeal in Lite Revolva to support a whole back catalogue of long-players. And with that sort of charisma, it won't be long before this band are the vibe.
