Listen to this CD to discover why the people who buy it never take it out of their CD player. Great simple songs with phenomenal instumentation and integrity. Let the sombre dark tones of the bowed stand up bass (Red Coles), take you to the space the vocals are about while the fiddle (Jessica Billey; Bonneville, Mekons) takes you high above the song and back down again. Each song goes somewhere new but brings up distant memories of songs past. Upbeat, downbeat and in between.

You can't go wrong with Outrider. This is a great CD with lots of variety and great songs. Independent bands like this one deserve a chance just for their efforts but you'll find the music well worth the purchase. The stand-up bass and fiddle give Outrider a lot of character and depth and Daly's vocals and lyrics are special. They list a variety of artists that influenced them and you'll find a nice blend of some great styles here. This band deserves a listen.
