notes
This is a split label sampler between Rock-N-Roll Purgatory in the USA and Raucous Records in England. Several songs are previously unreleased or are non-album versions. You get 27 bands and around 74 minutes of music for a low, low bargain price. Most songs are on the Rockabilly end of the spectrum, all imbued with a good dose of punk rock spirit and energy. There is even some juke-joint blues and honky tonk thrown in to give the whole thing added body and fullness.

not too bad
author: damonIt truly wasn't too bad, some of the bands were definetely more rockabilly (like the straight 8's). Some were truly terrible though, it just seemed to me that better bands could've have been picked for later slots on the album. All in all i'd say it's not totally worth 7 bucks, a few bucks cheaper and it'd be a true bargain price.
Makes driving fun...
author: DevineWe listened to the whole CD on the way over highway 17 to go to Santa Cruz and it made the drive so much better! I'd love to listen to it in the house or pop it on my iPod except I can't get my husband to take it out of his car. He listens to it over and over as loud as possible!
