    Steps off with a pared-down stomp, and by the second or third song, you realize you've been met with first-rate blues chops and a sly, powerful voice that could effortlessly have made it without them. But sit tight, because this album gets better the further you follow. Bringing together elements of juke-joint blues, rock, and smokey jazz-blues, Jordan rewards the listener with an unstrained, graceful performance. Talented enough to lone wolf it, he instead pulls together small groups of musicians, each one adding something elemental, none overdoing it.

    If you ,listen to Mr. Jordan's "hay now baby" and don't immediately get up to dance then you have a serious hearing loss problem. This guy is strapped to a rocket heading for the stars!
