Ontagon
shapes in sound

CD permanently out of stock. Sorry!
IDM electronica, textural music, with artistic emphasis on shapes and colors. Vashing monophonic synths, gritspit drums, and solemn spaces of introspection combine to make a polymorphic sound.

notes
Debut indie release by post-IDM guru Ontagon--
"The programming, while deep, is remarkably well done, exhibiting a proficiency, both artistic and technical that really sets Ontagon apart from many independent experimental acts that tend to overdo the "experimental" bit, thus becoming inaccessible to most audiences. Unlike those, Ontagon has compiled a record that is shockfull of soul and creative ideas, yet easy for nearly everyone to listen to, a real feat worth of praise."

Ontagon represents an evolution in the IDM electronica paradigm. Songs with structure, mood, and meaning come together with searing sonic experimentalism and blurging samplers.
James Zdrowski has been writing and recording electronic music under the pseudonym Ontagon since 2002. He records at Belasia Studios, now in Boulder, Colorado, and performs around the Denver Area.
