Akimbo began as a search for other people's music and became a vehicle for Christy's own songs. No one is more surprised than Christy at her new role as songwriter. Funky, fun, sincere, and tender, Christy has a voice just as comfortable softly telling a story as wailing a message of hope. If you are wondering what "Akimbo" means, you'll just have to give the CD a listen! Howard Levy, Bob Lizik, Jim Hines, Jim Gailloretto, Peter Saxe, and many other well-known Chicago talents are featured, all with flawless production and arranging by Kraig McCreary, guitar genius.
