Robert McDowell, Operation Ensuring Christmas…for Children of Fallen Troops Founder and Veit Renn of Renn Music Productions have produced A lil’ Heroes Christmas CD to help honor and support the Children of Fallen American Troops. Thirteen children of troops killed in action since 9/11 were in Recording Studios across the country adding their voices to the Christmas CD on the same day at the same time, the afternoon of Saturday, October 7th. The CD features the children singing traditional Christmas songs and parts of original songs written especially for them. 100% of the proceeds from the CD will go to support the programs at OEC which directly benefit these very special children. The children sing all or part of 7 of the 9 songs, see the credits below.

Veit Renn did the bulk of the CD project at his RMP Studios in Orlando Florida. Renn has sold over 50 Million CD’s including over 11 million Nsync CD’s, 4 Million being Nsync’s Christmas CD. Renn also had 2 hit singles on the Back street boys first album which sold over 34 million copies worldwide. Renn Music Productions is also the home of American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson who is co-starring in Dream Girls with Jamie Foxx, Beyonce’ Knowles and Eddie Murphy in theaters December, 2006. In addition to recording at RMP Studios, children added vocals to the CD at the prestigious Studio West in San Diego CA, PostPro Studios in Raleigh NC and Jupiter Studios in St. Louis MO.

Everyone involved at Renn Music Productions and Studio West
donated their time and services. 100% of the proceeds from the CD will go to support the programs at OEC which directly benefit these very special children.

    Undoubtably the best Christmas CD that I own, simply because of the mission behind the songs. The family is usually forgotten, and I commend you for NOT forgetting them! Most organizations that collect money for a cause, only submit a portion to that cause, you and OEC turn over 100% to them! Does anyone really realize how rare that is? No handling, shipping, or management charges? No staff payroll? Every penny goes to the kids! My hat off to all of you - for the kids. To the kids - you too, are to be commended. You have the hardest job of all. But know that your parents are looking down, watching you, and protecting you. You did an outstanding job on this CD, better than many 'recording artits' that do this for a living. Hold your parents memory close to your hearts, and God Bless all of you!

    This was not only one of my favorite Christmas CD's but the fact that all of these children, that have never had a lesson, did such a heart warming job. I received my CD in March. I've listened to it several times allready...even though it is not Christmas time. These children awh me with their voices. I think this is a very worthy cause.

    This CD is FANTASTIC!!! I love it. I'm so glad that I saw the feature on the TODAY show. My heart goes out to all the children who have lost parents in war. My son spent 6 months in Afghanistan and 12 months in Iraq and it would have been very hard on me if he died there but I know he would have willingly gave his life to save the life of a fellow soldier that had children back home. These children are special and I thank them for making this CD. May God bless them all every day.

    FIRST AND FORMOST; to the children and families that lose a love one, my heartful thank you goes to your love one for protecting our country and my heart breaks as you have suffered a lose. I too saw the clip on NBC Today show and went right to the site and ordered the CD's. I ordered 3 and plan to order a few more. I have a brother that was also in the war, thankfully he came home as well as all of his unit. To think of losing him or my niece's and nephew growing up with out him is not one thought I wish to do.     As the future wife of an Army officer, who has done one tour in Iraq and may have to do another, and who has 2 children of his own and taking on my two...I find that this was the most beautiful tribute these children could have given their parents. Grandma Barb, left of center, right of center, we are all people who have lost someone close to us either in war or otherwise. I loved the Christmas as well as the "political" aspects and think that anyone who would hold political policy above what these children did, need to listen to it again. God bless these kids and the adults who helped them in their venture.

    I saw the CD on the Today show and immediately ordered one. I really enjoy listening to the songs but what really means a lot to me is the fact that the kids are singing for other children who have lost a parent due to the war, my heart goes out to them. Great job to all who worked on this CD

    I shared this cd with my 8 year old great neice who was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. After hearing the cd she said that her diabetes was not as bad a losing a mommy or daddy.     We loved this cd. I played it for Dylan and Carter, seven and eight years old, they are stuck in the hospital for Christmas. They are lil heroes too, but they are fighting cancer.     I think this is wonderful, one of our spouses lost her husband just days ago and she has three kids, they are all hurting. The kids suffer so, I am so grateful to see that someone has done this and not forgotten the children of our service members who have given their lives.     How dare her not give that gift to touch somebody's heart that doesn't understand these children's plight (and obviously doesn't want to grow and learn of it)! Do NOT take a second out and keep it all the way that it is! We lost a family member that has children to this war and we would never allow his name to be shamed by the cause of freedom, he is our HERO and more should understand what these children do!
