Wayland Harman - Ashiko, Djembe & assorted other percussion, Didgeridoo, Clackamore, Trump (Jew's Harp), Harmonica, Acoustic Guitar, MouthBow, Nose Flute, Vocals, Odd stuff, Songwriter
As the inventor of the Clackamore and developer of the Reeded mouth bow, Wayland's creations come alive in the music of The ODDTONES. Modern microphone techniques and Wayland's unique performances bring ancient and subtle instruments to the forefront. The amazing sounds of mouth resonated harmonics highlight music that ranges from blues to folk and world beat to classical.

Mark D. Poss - Ashiko, Djembe & assorted other percussion, Trump (Jew's Harp), Clackamore, Vocals, Odd stuff, Songwriter
Mark has been involved in music since his first stage performance at the tender age of five. His background is that of a percussionist with Jazz, Rock, and Blues influences, as well as being a poet, singer and songwriter. His harmonies, percussion and energy add depth to the unique ODDTONE sound.
Currently Mark is webmaster and newsletter editor for the Jew's Harp Guild. With Wayland Harman and Dan Gossi as partners, he helped form Mouth Music Press in May 1998 to promote and sell mouth-resonated instruments and related items. Mark serves mainly as the tech-head on the team.
Mark loves spontaneous jamming and intricate rhythms, but also enjoys meditative and trance inducing sounds. He is presently learning the art of throat-singing and exploring the music, and musical history, of different cultures.

Michael Bruesch - Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Mandolin, Vocals, Odd stuff, Songwriter
His interest in music began at birth, or so it seems. His family, friends, and musical peers have introduced him to almost every genre of music that exists. In the over 30 years as a singer-songwriter/guitarist, Michael has been with many bands covering the gambit of musical expression.

Unique, highly imaginative, wide range of sounds & moods, entertaining!
author: raven radioA great album! Each track is unique and compelling. I especially like Tree Trumps, Ion Propulsion and Ajar. The music varies from bluesy, to dark and moody, to lighthearted, and they create combinations of sounds I don't think anyone else has made before.
Do not adjust your CD players!
author: Edward Burke, College Dj and lover of all things oddDo not adjust your CD players, this is odd stuff emminating from your speakers. Odd, but interesting, catchy and free-flowing rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, folk and world fusion music led by the small but stately jaw harp. Other gems on the album offer odd, but satisfying pairings of guitar, mandolin and percussion instruments from all over the world. It is apparent that the guys had a great time recording this album and jamming with eachother. Want proof? Alright, how about the animal noises on the live "dogfrogcatfish", or the delicate mandolin and mouthbow work on "Celtic D Drone"? The plucky pops of a mason jar on "Ajar", the psycho-world blues funk of "Shadows on the Ceiling', or the solo, jaw harp lava fall "Tree Trumps"? Does that satisfy your appitite for cool, refreshing new music? I thought so.
