NEW YORK TO TOKYO is a Lo-Fi garage rock band formed in early 2007 by 3 friends from NY, Philadelphia and the UK. NY Guitarist Paul Marko plays Rickenbacker 360 guitars through Vox AC30 amps, setting the stage for a raunchy sound. Vocals are provided by UK native Jake Whitmore and Drummer Dale Russell, from Philadelphia, does his part with an extremely live and trashy drum sound. Marko composed all the songs on this debut release and is also the Producer. New York to Tokyo hit FMQB's top 50 sub modern specialty charts during the summer with the raw garage sound of "Pink Leather Jacket." The EP was recorded at Retrophonics studio in Saint Augustine, Florida by Engineer Jim Devito, and mixed by Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders, Detroit, MI.
