notes

Bay Area born and bred NUMP a.k.a. Nump Trump
possesses the talent and musical passion to turn heads
in the Entertainment/ Music Industry with his
astounding studio resume as well as his street
credibility at such a young age. He began rapping at
the age of 10; Nump had to constantly battle on never
being accepted as a rapper amongst his peers, which
was only gasoline on his fire and fueled his ambition
to make it big. If you believe that "revenge is the
best success", then Nump has been on the road to
success since he was fresh out of High School. Besides
DJ'ing and making compilation tapes with his
brother/producer D1, Nump started working with
numerous street marketing teams in Northern California
which landed him a gig with Def Jam West and a slot on
the Promotional Tour bus for the West Coast portion of
the "Hard Knock Life Tour". Upon returning home from
tour Nump enrolled at the local community college and
accomplished an inspirational task on receiving a
music certificate at Diablo Valley College. This led
to enrolling and graduating top rank at the
Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe
Arizona. His placement of internship landed him at
Studio 880 in Oakland, CA. Here Nump worked for FREE
as an intern with artists like Green Day, Smash Mouth
and Iggy Pop. Off top Nump did not intend on working
with that genre of music, but he did what ever it took
to stay in the studio. Fortunately for Nump a rap/
hip hop group, Blackalicious, moved into the studio C
portion of Studio 880 and he was offered a position as
an intern after his shift was completed with Studio
880. Nump was working for free at both internships
putting in close to 60 hours a week when opportunity
came knocking on his door. The owner of Studio 880
introduced Nump to Michael Denten (West Coast Mixing
Engineer Legend) the owner of Infinite Studios, which
is the home to a majority of Bay Area rap artists. In
time Nump was titled House Engineer at Infinite
Studios and achieved his career goal as an engineer
working with all the artists he grew up studying: E40,
Messy Marv, Rick Rock, Keak Da Sneak, Nate Dogg, Mac
Dre and many more. He is also credited on mixing Funk
Legend, Michael Cooper of Confunksion's current solo
album and engineering for conga legend Giovanni
Hidalgo. These experiences opened up a whole new
universe of music to Nump, which made him stronger and
stronger and stronger in the studio as an artist. You
can hear the drastic growth and maturity in the sound
and attitude in record after record that Nump
releases. He is now achieving his career goal as an
artist. Working with everyone he grew up studying
makes this guy INDESTRUCTABLE as an all around artist.
His fifth release under his label Bay Luv Records is
The NUMP Yard, Nump's second solo album. NUMP a.k.a.
NUMP TRUMP states "Buy The NUMP Yard Or Else Yerr
Fired!!!"
