notes
The Larry Nozero Quartet has been a regular working unit since 1980. They have recorded several albums and have been featured at major jazz festivals and venues throughout the United States and Europe.
This group has been a mainstay on the jazz scene and continues to perform jazz classics and original compositions to very loyal audiences throughout the Detroit metropolitan area and midwest.
The songs presented here are notable not only for the beauty of their melodic line, but for their complex and rich modern harmonies. Composers represented on this recording are Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones, Michele LeGrand, Lennon and McCartney.

It's WHICH notes you play, not how many !
author: Tom ZarroLong-winded exhibitions take note: this is what meaningful jazz expression is all about. Phrases are crafted and shaped and the solo becomes a sublime series of variations on a theme that takes the listener on a logical musical journey. For truly great jazzmen, like the late Larry Nozero, technique was a means to an end, not an end in itself. You are sorely missed!
