Bringing together over ten different Canadian producers, Northern Faction 2 presents material spanning nearly a year of production. This Winnipeg produced collection includes new material from original roster members Sohcahtoa, Equanim, Kasm, Duende6, Metesthetics and DJ Brace. The fifth release on Balanced Records, Northern Faction 2 shows the evolution of the label over the last three years. Fusing elements of downtempo, hip hop, IDM, dub, electro, jazz and global music while exploring warm spacious melodies and cold detailed rhythms, Northern Faction 2 creates a soothing turbulence. New to the roster, Gentle embraces detail in a fun pop esthetic while Fascade@137db presents a sublime urban cinematic journey. Originally introduced on Solidaze Sessions, Jerry G funks things up and Solidaze remixes Winnipeg legends The Hummers.
