The NoLove Band Legacy.....
Mushroom Jazz Band Live! Presents: "Vol I, Songs For The Underground" Confusing named "Vol I," "Musushroom Jazz" is the second cd in the NoLove Saga. This sticky-sweet ball of musical stylings is the result of the NoLove Folly Players peak gatherings at Rx Studios in Hollywood. Recorded live and edited later for decency, the cd has become an clubber's underground favorite for its downright strangeness.
The NoLove Story:
Born of basic instinct, the human drive to mate and fused by the raw desire to dance, NoLove Band was formed in 2003 in the underbelly of Hollywood's after hours scene. Ravers, club kids, homeboys, wannabe's, post-punks, goths, gutterball rockers-all finally have they found their one true voice. Belched forth from the mind of poet-come-songwriter and performance artist/preacher, Saint Marc The Devil Dog who, flanked by multi-intrumentalist and fellow sonic adventurer Captain Jim Devil, comprise the groups motivation and the core of NoLove Band. Having enlisted performance duties from arch vibe-types like the infamous PCP, Judas Jones, Mannfur, Gregg Orenstien-Fu and the mighty Johnny Cunt, the aptly named "NoLove Folly Players" and their unique "Carnival Of Sound" sessions bring to life records of uncompromising beauty, savagery, beat and "experi-mental" strangeness.
