Nils Nilsson's fourth CD in less than one year, "I Am Adversary" once again takes an unexpected turn from his past efforts. Tempos race, emotions soar and plummet, synths creep, and computers misbehave.
"Kryptonite Lightsaber" is the soundtrack to the ultimate duel... with an indicator of who would win. "Multihorticulturalist" twists around as much as your tongue trying to pronounce its title, starting on one planet and ending on another. "Chorst" stumbles drunkenly in through your doorway and chases you around with a tennis racket and banana peel.
Like the first three albums, "I Am Adversary" is one big trip... a whirlwind of electronic sound, rhythm, and feeling that goes from sincere to funny to sinister to completely unhinged.
