Electro/hip-hop laced with childish melodies that have suffered mangling in a mediocre computer. The perfect chill-out album for chilling out outside on a chilly day without a bowl of chili.

notes
Nils Nilsson has come a long way since he started fiddling with free music-making software as a freshman in high school. Since discovering the program Reason, he has spent the past 3 years mastering it and developing a unique style of composition intended to call to mind an earlier era of technology -- a blend of electro, acid, folk, hip-hop, surf rock, Caribbean ...and god-knows-what-else, all hinged together with a deliberately lo-fi, indie aesthetic.
Life Goes in Circles goes from cheery, childish themes to wonky, falling-apart free-association, with a cacophony of computer coughs and glitches strewn across the whole thing. Standout vocal tracks include the off-kilter, white-boy hip-hop of Stop Myself and beautiful female singing on Pound of Dirt. Gurgley acid, banjos, live bass, little brothers, vocoders, sine waves, hip-hop/reggaetón beats and terrifying stereo effects await anyone who purchases this album. Best listened to whilst laying across your bed, eating a lime popsicle.
