notes
"Nicola Boschetti is a wonderful Italian fingerstyle player whose melodic lyricism makes nylon strings sparkle." John Morgan, american acoustic guitarist.
"Così lontano".
"It is an Aimee weekend. I am all alone. I am happy within but something is missing. The one thing I wish most of. Love. Where did it go? Did I already pass it up? I am at the park. I walk along the riverside. The wind is blowing through my flowing hair. I am at peace as I think of nothing. The day is beautiful. But I am still longing… for that touch, that kiss, the warmth. It seems so distant… so far away yet the river keeps flowing. My heart keeps pouring out kindness… to no one". Interpretation for Così lontano by Aimee Martini Sposito, american friend & fan.
"Soft acoustic inputs of lyrism, expressive sense and narrative sense emerge from Nicola Boschetti's recording for guitar solo. The streams of Boschetti's turn of phrase insinuate themselves with graceful skill and unfold with cohesion little by little instilling emotions and giving life to well modulated narrative structures..." Giordano Selini, journalist and musical critic.

A Refined Instrumental CD From an Incredible Arranger and Guitarist
author: Chris & the RadioIndy.com Review Team“Solo Guitar” is an instrumental album with elements of new age, blues, and jazz brought to life by the musical stylings of extraordinary Italian acoustic guitarist Nicola Boschetti. Boschetti has a humbling amount of control over his instrument and creates a great layering effect through the fingerstyle form. He has the talent of American folk guitarist Leo Kottke and the European and new age influences of Ottmar Liebert. When combined, the two influences create something unique and, moreover, a great listen. With his guitar, Boschetti is quite capable of conveying emotion, composing longing love songs, and telling a story with a sound narrative structure. “Solo Guitar” maintains the simplicity of the solo instrument in its production and sounds better than similar over-produced albums you would hear at the Sutter Home Winery. “Giochi Di Luce” displays Boschetti’s excellent layering skills to the point of disbelief that all that beautiful noise is coming from one instrument. “New Blues” has a great blues rhythm and more great layering, as Boschetti at once manages the solo and the rhythm section. “Solo Guitar” is a refined album from an incredible arranger and guitarist in Nicola Boschetti. Fans of fingerstyle acoustic guitar with an Eastern European influence, pick up “Solo Guitar.”
