(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

This very original concept cd sounds like sweat drippin' from the armpits of whores in Sunday sermon; sonically, its like Hank Williams Sr. tanglin' with Pink Floyd on a lonely back road in South Georgia.

notes

The Newfanglers are a group of musicians based out of Waycross, Georgia who formed several years ago and have since concentrated their efforts on an original recording project titled "Blood In The Pines: The Story of Hollis Sheppard". Inspired by a regional story of feuding families, ass-whippin's, wife beatin's and murder, the songwriting/recording project has been an intensive group effort, rounded out by guest musicians, some local, some legendary. One of the highlights of the recording sessions was the inclusion of Don Helms, steel guitarist from Hank Williams' Drifting Cowboy band, as he lent his legendary talents to Tracks 6 and 10.
