Album Notes

Leisure Time is a collection of 5 songs recorded in Nathan Duprey's apartment in New York over a 6-month period...Self-produced, engineered, mixed.

Altercations with the law, go-go dancing, and a circusy waltz make the characteristically quiet, somber brooding seem like an adventure.

"I once stole a bottle from a grocery store/ And then I got down to the bottom so I went back for more/ Then the owner called the cops/ Something in me loves the chase / Something in me loves to get caught."

Ultimately, it is redemptive as he offers "I Love the Damage," the opening track that chugs with lo-fi beats, layered vocal harmonies and a hint of the 80's.

"His voice inspires hope and romance."

Inside a magical place
author: Billy
From the second this CD starts, you're taken to a magical place that you don't want to leave. Nathan has opened his world up and pulled us inside. With mystery and charm he leaves us wanting to know so much more. These 5 songs are among the finest music creations I have ever heard. With haunting melodies and lyrics that paint a picture, you’re suddenly transferred to a café in a city with the snow falling outside. As a fan of independent artists, who play piano, Nathan has moved into first place. My favorite track is "Making It Worse" where he talks of innocence lost and we can hear the sadness of a love that got away in his voice. With lyrics such as "but it used to be, we'd take walks in the cold and look at stars like we'd never get old." This 5 song CD is nothing short of brilliant. I find the songs following me through-out the days, long after they've been played. Don't hesitate....BUY THIS TODAY.
