notes
My name is Nate Towne and I'm from the western Maine town of Norway.I'm a singer/songwriter who mainly plays guitar but can play bass and the drums. After encompassing enough original material over the years I decided to record my CD ''Short Circuit''in 2004.Taking two years to complete,''Short Circuit''is a CD that has me playing all the vocal and instrument parts over music that is bouncy, uptempo, and sometimes funny to songs that are quiet and reflective.I've always loved the Dead,CSN&Y,Dylan,to blues players like Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters, and current guys like Alexi Murdoch and Jose Gonzalez. If you like these guys, you'll enjoy my CD.Thanks.

Good music from a good friend.

"Short Circuit" is vibrant !
author: Mary Ukelady"Short Circuit" is vibrant ! It touches the feelings in all of us. And one thing is for sure, IT ROCKS!! So well put together! 'A "must have" that is upbeat, original, and will rock your world! Dynamic guitar leads, resonant vocals, and smooth rhythms instantly hook the listener on a journey to higher places. When I listen, I'm dancing! And imagine colorful light shows on the wall! A new sound with the magic of good ole time Rock and Roll. "Original Tune" does it everytime. Clear the dance floor! Then lose yourself in the boyancy of "Boatwaves", moving into deeper vibes with songs like "My New Home" and "Harvest Town". Nate touches the pain of love in his songs "Fool" and "Alone I Cry", while offering a ray of hope in the final track "Can't Hurry Love". He has a way of touching the dark side and making it a little brighter. He is a hero, no longer unsung, but soon to be heard by the world. 'With a voice like Stephen Stills, a drive like Eric Clapton, a tenderness like Roy Orbison, and the soul of none other than Nate Towne.
