Nancy Cassidy, one of the most popular children’s recording artists in the country delights children of all ages with her warm heart-felt voice and diverse selection of traditional, original and contemporary songs from her Klutz KidsSongs series. Her first recording, KidsSongs received a Gold Record from the Recording Association of America Inc. for having sold 500,000 copies - it has now sold over 900,000! In August 2004, Klutz released a two-CD boxed set and sing-along book of Nancy’s KidsSongs, produced by Ken Whiteley. This set combines music from KidsSongs and KidsSongs 2. In 2005 it received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and The Children’s Music Web Awards for “Best Recording for Preschoolers ages 3 to 5” and the “Judge’s Technical Award”.

In addition to singing and playing the guitar, Nancy writes a number of her own songs. Bruce Springsteen recorded Nancy and John Cassidy’s “Chicken Lips and Lizard Hips” and has sold a million copies. Nancy's rendition of "I Wanna Be a Dog," was beamed up to the astronauts on a shuttle flight, making her one of the first children's artist's with an orbital audience.

    I played these songs daily for my children as they grew up. 14+ years. We've gotten so much joy out of them and I wanted to share that joy. Recently I was hunting for the tapes, to find the exact name of them, so I could purchase them for a colleagues baby shower. I couldn't find them but remembered they were "Kid Songs". Unfortunately, I found the wrong collection on-line (by the same name). I even called the company and spoke with someone, describing what I was looking for and she said, "Yes, that's us". I bought 2 collections. One for us, and one for the gift. UNFORTUNATELY it is NOT the right collection. Just cleaned out my car and found the old tapes and hence found this website. ARGH!! Buyer BEWARE, there's another collection called Kids Songs and seems very much like this collection. It IS NOT!! Wish I had found the old tapes sooner. :( Thanks for creating such wonderful classic children's music that lives on. My 14 year old is so looking forward to these coming in the mail. :)

    Nancy Cassidy has the soul that connects to young hearts of all ages and cultures. I am Asian and recently became a mother. I bought Nancy Cassidy's Kids Songs (attracted by the colors of the package)without knowing that she is already so popular in this country. Her singing brings lots of joys to me and my son. She makes up light on our toes.

    I especially love the "brush your teeth" song. I have sung it with my singing kids for years, and now I have taught it to the preschoolers I teach. Everyone loves it!

    It took me months to find this CD on the internet. I looked all through my boxes when I moved into my new home. I used to listen to this cassette tape when I was young. I sing these songs all the time to my 1 year old daughter. I am glad that I will be able to hand this CD down to her.
