Album Notes

Naim Satya, a prominent Bay Area jazz musician, has often lent his talents to more spiritually-oriented music, having composed background music for yogic practices, shamanic and meditative practices. This particular CD was created with a Japanese flute and Koto (a traditional string instrument) in mind, even though these instruments are played by an electric keyboard the feel of authenticity can be felt in the final product that Naim is offering. This music does create a tranquil ambiance and would be suitable for any type of meditative practice.

This is not Naim’s first adventure into a more ethereal style of music. His CD “Jazz Meditations” is also available on CD Baby. “Jazz Meditations” is designed for an active approach to meditation which is explained in the liner notes of the CD. His CD “The Celestial Seas” is a more profound adventure into the Inner Realm journey of the spiritual worlds that some of you may have traveled through.

“Ceremony” is a more traditional approach to creating a state of relaxation to allow the listener to gain spiritual insight or to simply relax from the chaos of a busy day. Take the time to listen to the sample clips. You will find yourself drawn into a place of “Ceremony” to bring peace to your heart and mind.
