Hamjo Band members have a long-standing history with music involvement individually, but they have joined together with a common interest to create good old-time music to entertain and retain the roots of our musical heritage to share with today’s families.
The Hamjo Band derives its name from the Hammered Dulcimer’s beautiful range of tone combined with
the banjo’s old-time plucking, done in Appalachian, claw-hammer style. This unique combination, joined
by guitars, mandolin & vocal harmonies create an entertaining performance featuring old-time traditional
tunes, waltzes, ballads, jigs & reels from the Celtic heritage of the early immigrants settling in New England
and the Appalachian area of America, - music reflecting the many influences of the past.
"Mustang Sally and the Hamjos," clearly one of the biggest draws of the festival.." Jupiter Courier

These guys introduced me to real American folk music on visit to the USA. What a joy, the room was filled with toe tapping people enjoying the skill, the humor and the sense of fun. That comes across in this delightful "snapshot" of times past.
