notes

Life and Death is the first birth of mushmosh. Listeners looking for the unordinary will latch on to mushmosh music. A psychedelic journey through time will leave the listener wondering how the last hour of time seemed to vanish in a matter of minutes. A sense of reality lost. Maybe exactly what you're looking for.
Clever images in the artwork that comes with the cd will keep most answering their own questions of life and death.

13 different people + 13 different interpretations = 1 great cd !!!

To make matters BETTER, the music stands on it's own merit. A wonderful blend of melodic guitars and creative rhythms combined with odd time signatures that actually GROOVE makes this cd a pleasure to listen to and a must for your cd collection.

If you're looking for mainstream pop, this isn't the cd for you. Otherwise, this one IS worth your time and money.

Make room for a new artform: It's name is mushmosh !!

  • Looking for Diverse influences??
    author: Mike Lang (Modern Drummer)

Mixing electric and acoustic drums, Jim helps Mushmosh jump from industrial rock to jazz and everywhere in between. - Modern Drummer(February 2004)

  • Can You Say "Monster?"
    author: Waldo The Squid(Drum !)

"The Squid heard enough to figure that this guy's a certified percussion freak who loves to build complex grooves on drumset and hand drums that often venture into odd time signatures, with snappy drum sounds and enough chops to fill a meat locker." - Drum ! Aug/Sept. 2003

  • GREAT STUFF !!!
author: Dom Famularo(World Renowned Drumset Clinician)

Very Musical! Sounds Wonderful!! Drummer Jim Berretta has played very well and maturely. Put him in the next generation of players!!!

This cd is SO different from other stuff in my cd collection. Really enjoyed it. I feel like there's some kind of theme happening throughout the cd but haven't figured it all out yet. Gonna listen to it again tonight. Good job mushmosh !!
