notes
Widely respected as the premier woman fingerstyle guitarist on the scene today, Muriel Anderson has released six CD's in the US and three in Japan, two videos, and has authored numerous articles and instructional books. She is the first woman to have won the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship and is host and originator of the renowned "Muriel Anderson's ALL STAR GUITAR
NIGHT®."
Muriel Anderson plays a signature model guitar by Paul McGill in Nashville, TN and uses GHS La Classique strings. She also plays a steel string guitar built by master luthier Kevin Ryan.
Muriel fell in love with the guitar at an early age and learned every style available to her, culminating in classical guitar study at DePaul University.
She went on to study with classical virtuoso Christopher Parkening and with Nashville legend Chet Atkins. In 1989 Muriel won the National Fingerpicking
Guitar Championship.
"Acoustic guitarist Muriel Anderson... has justifiably gained a reputation as one of the world's best, and most versatile, guitar instrumentalists."
...Chicago Tribune July 29, 1997
"Muriel Anderson is a good friend and a great guitarist. She deserves national recognition."

Wonderful!
author: Marlene McCarthyThis is the most wonderful guitar and cello music I have ever heard! I received this CD from a friend and now I give it to my other friends. It is the best gift of gifts to give a friend. A must have in any music collection.
A wonderful discovery!
author: Rayna MerryfieldAs a newcomer to Muriel Anderson's music, I was delighted with this collection of duets. The two musicians compliment each other perfectly, particularly on Minstrel's Courtyard, with its old English ballad style. The rest of the tracks are varied in style but just as lovely - this is a must-have for anyone who enjoys acoustic guitar and/or cello music!
A tender and sensative collection of duets.
author: Keith WatlingI really love this CD. Not only does it make wonderful background music when I'm occupied but up front it holds up well to serious listening. Muriel's playing beautifuly complements Julie's cello parts. Together they blend and weave a wonderful tapestry of melodies and counter melodies. My favorite cut is #8, Calm Before the Storm, nice and moody with a touch of apprehension.
