Best Mumy Ever
author: Trevor William DouglasI have all of Bill's CDs from Dying To Be Heard to Circular and I have to say, I enjoy almost all of his music, but this CD is my very favorite! Every track is a gem and I listen to it regularly. In The Current comes a close second followed by Ghosts and of course Dying To Be Heard is a classic! Keep up the good work Bill!

Sigh.
author: J. AlexanderBill Mumy's latest is a damn good selection of songs. It is a shame that broadcast radio has lost its soul during the last couple of decades because this cd deserves heavy airplay.
Wonderful voice and songs
author: Jan ChiltonI can't believe my little Will Robinson can sing and write songs like this. With Big Ideas is just wonderful. I listened to it about 10 times on MySpace before I came and bought the cd. It's as professional and touching as anything I've ever listened to. And CD Baby is one of the coolest companies I've ever dealt with online. You put Amazon to shame! Enjoyed it all immensely. Jan

Excellent music!
author: DougI'm no music expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I do know good music when I hear it. Bill Mumy has an extraordinary blend of rock/country/blues sounds that go back to my very roots. For me it's great 70's music morphed into today's world with a large portion of just plain, pure talent. It's not often I purchase a CD that doesn't have at least one song that's not quite up to the rest, but this CD is definitely the exception! Yes, Bill Mumy is "Will Robinson" from the 60's Lost in Space TV series - along with many other great acting roles - past and present. My only regret is that I spent so many years unaware of his remarkable musical talent. This is Mr Mumy's most recent album and I encourage all to purchase it. You will not regret it! And while you're at it do a little search of Mr Mumy's other albums. Each one is a musical treat worth much more than it's cost and each is a treasure all should have as well!

Laid Back and Very Listenable
author: Mark PintoI have appreciated Bill's work with America for quite a few years, finally buying one of his CDs helps me appriciate him even more. I definitely see what Dewey and Gerry see in his work. I will definitly work toward increasing my collection of his CDs.
American Sunshine
author: JuneLike sipping a perfect first cup of morning coffee during a beautiful sunrise, WITH BIG IDEAS is a perfect blend of Bill Mumy's talents with the talents of others. Simply enjoy it.
A CD TO TREASURE ALWAYS!
author: HollyBill's latest cd is one to treasure always. He is the man! That is for sure! These songs each tell a story, ones that will touch your heart and very soul. His vocals are strong, tender and very powerful! I was blown away when I heard this cd! All I can say is, "Do I ever have to take it out of my cd player?" It is really great! My favorites are Fish Out of the Sea, Rising Falls, With Big Ideas and God's Perfect Design. Very well written! The way he puts words together is an astonishment indeed! After hearing this cd you will want to get all of his solo albums...that is the true story of what happened to me. Now getting every song he has ever sung is on my agenda! Much love to you, Bill. xoxoxox
Big Ideas gives us all many ideas!
author: Cecilia FidoraBill Mumy's latest CD is probably his best, so far. No Free Parking hits home hard and so does It's Only Forever. Funny, I was just driving on Hollywood Blvd last Sat. and stopped at Cherokee's red light to glance over at an old, abandoned bookstore on my right. So, was that where he took the bus with the barefoot girl? I also loved Fish Out of Water. Mystery Road and Overdue will rock you and a Man of His Word will inspire you. (not much of that around anymore today...) Wrapping up his album, Save Me a Seat on the Aisle says it all, we just don't know where or when. Very nice finish.
Fantastic CD, I recomend it to all my friends!
author: G. MarshallThe songs were for the most part very well done and well thought out. It's great when you can find music like this that's not 20 years old. I'm telling all my friends about it and I am ordering another for my brother's birthday. If this is Bill's 6th then I must have 1 through 5. Where is all the radio play that these songs should be getting? PS. I first heard about this CD on Coast to Coast. Thankyou Bill for this wonderful effort! Gary
Music the way it's suppose to be
author: DaveBill Mumy does music the way it's supposed to be done - solid musicianship coupled with outstanding songwriting. Granted, Bill Mumy has never released a bad track or a weak album, but With Big Ideas raises the bar that much higher with tight harmonies, stong beats and music that speaks to you beyond simple lyrics.
With Big Ideas is the best of Mumy Music!
author: SusanneBill Mumy has done a first-class, first-rate and exceptional job with this album! It is loaded with fourteen powerful songs and it's very easy to become addicted to any of them or all of them! I honestly can say that I do not ever want to stop listening to these tunes. Each song has incredible lyrics, blended with perfect music and polished with outstanding vocals! It's hard to pick any one favorite, because I love them all. I will say Mystery Road is quite a rocker that could easily become a hit. I think Rising Falls is a very impressive song and it really demonstrates that this is perfect music. From rockin' songs like Mystery Road, Overdue, and A Little Goes A Long Way to mellow songs like The Fire, A Man Of His Word and Missing The Missing. I feel this album has a little something for all musical appetites!
Mumy hits it out of the park -again
author: martyI loved this cd the first time I listened to it - and with every listen it seems to get even better. The secret, I believe, is that Bill Mumy is an incredibly gifted songwriter. I have all of his solo cd's and I can't think of one tune that isn't worth listening to. "With Big Ideas" is among Mumy's best. It's got all of, what to me, are his trademarks - solid musicianship, inventive interesting arrangements and great songwritng. What's different, this time around, is that unlike his earlier releases, where Bill played every instrument and sung every vocal, he is augmented by ace session drummer Russ Kunkel and America's Gerry Beckley providing wonderful vocal harmonies, as well as a great pedal steel player. If you like, as I do, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Springsteen, Dylan, etc, I can't imagine that you wouldn't like "With Big Ideas". This is rock and roll music at it's best - heartfelt, folk based, interesting chord progessions, and melodies that stay with you - songs that speak eloquently of the human condition. No cliches - not so much as a wasted word or a wasted note.
