Bill Mumy is a multi-talented, prolific artist who entered the arena of professional entertainment at the age of five. He has worked on over four hundred television shows and is best known by fans around the world for the creation of his memorable role as the heroic boy astronaut "Will Robinson" on the long running classic series "Lost in Space." From 1993 through 1998 he played the noble, mystical "Lennier" in the popular science fiction series "Babylon 5."
Bill has released seven solo CDs: "With Big Ideas" (2006), "Los Angeles Times"(2005), "Ghosts" (2003), "After Dreams Come True" (2001), "Pandora's Box" (2000), "In The Current" (1999) and 1997's "Dying To Be Heard".
"The Jenerators", Bill's performing rock band that he fronts with fellow actor and sometimes writing partner Miguel Ferrer, have released three albums, "The Jenerators," "Hitting the Silk," and "Pony Up." 1999 saw the release of "The Be Five: Trying To Forget", another Renaissance CD written and produced by Bill featuring vocals by actors from Babylon 5. Rolling Stone magazine named Fish Heads # 57 of the all time greatest rock videos ever created. All of the Barnes & Barnes albums have been re-released on CD.
A short time ago TV Guide listed their top 100 television episodes of all time. Two of them starred Bill Mumy.

Ghosts - The Best of Billy Mummy
author: Sherri R LairdMy second CD and its fantastic! I love the vocals and guitar. This folksy rock is right up my alley and I'm so impressed with Mr. Mummy's multi-talented style. Being a 54 year old TV viewing fan of his TV work I am looking forward to some more TV series work. I'd love to catch one of your concert one of these days! My 2008 New Years wish. Best of luck to you Mr. Mummy! Keep up the good work with your music, it's the best orginal sound I've heard in many years.
A most pleasurable haunting ...
author: JuneA most impressive collection of the many musical talents of Bill Mumy. Prepare to be captivated by GHOSTS.
Make that 20 stars!
author: Susanne StiwardMake that 20 stars to my previous review. I didn't scroll down at IndiEclectic to catch The Great Domain!
These are a few of my favorite Ghosts
author: Susanne StiwardGhosts is the very first Bill Mumy CD I bought when I went to see his band The Jenerators in 2003. Little did I know how many times I would be listening to this CD. The first four songs on this CD immediately captured my attention - Always Open, She'll Never Know, The Climb and You Were There. Soon I noticed a couple of other tracks, It's Not The Same and The Recalcitrant Princess, that I started liking a whole lot! Not very long after that I just gave up on picking my favorites and fell in love with each and every song on this CD - all 19 of them. I highly recommend this album for anyone to start their Mumy Music collection. Ghosts is a very nice reflection of Bill's other albums. 19 stars for this one and counting!
A SAMPLE FOR STARTERS!
author: HollyOk...this is too hard to do, choose a Best Of album of Bill's, but this is a very good song selection! You can't stop here though, you have to have them all, but this is a good start. Like a tease to what you will want more of that is for sure! It is a very good sample of what kind of music he has to offer which is some of the greatest songs of our lifetime! We should all be thankful that he decided to share so much beauty with us all! This cd is highly recommended! Much love to you, Bill. xoxoxoxox
No Ghosts here - only Greatness!
author: Cecilia FidoraJust discovered Bill Mumy and his music - where have I been??? So I am trying hard to catch up! I thought I would get the best sample by buying this CD but it only makes me hungry for more! His lyrics unlock raw emotion (Woe, the Lover's Tune, Done me Little Good) and riveting haunting memories we all share of love lost. Ghosts? Maybe, but some great ones!

I just recently discovered that Bill Mumy is a musician, as well as an actor and, after hearing excerpts of some of his music on his website, bought 2 of his CDs within a couple of weeks. Ghosts is extremely good. Bill is an excellent songwriter and musician. I highly recommend this CD.
He really is an excellent musician.
author: Johnny Heering "trivia buff"This "best of" CD features songs from the four albums Bill Mumy released between 1997 and 2001, plus previously unreleased songs recorded in 2003. Bill wrote all the songs himself, and played (almost) all the instruments (his daughter played vibes and marimba on one song). This is the serious Bill Mumy, not the goofy guy from Barnes & Barnes who did "Fish Heads". He really is an excellent musician. Most of the songs are thoughtful ballads, but he does throw in a few more upbeat tunes. If you only know Bill from his acting on sci-fi shows, or from Barnes & Barnes, give this CD a listen and hear his sensitive side.

author: Rod RocketI'll make this review short and to the point. Okay. When I think of Bill Mumy and music I think of "Fish Heads". Yes, roly-poly "Fish Heads". In my mind it was Bill's claim to fame in the music world. Remember MTV "when it was good"? Well, it turns out that there's much more to Bill's music endeavors than a novelty song and video. And listen: The guy can pick a guitar. My first thought when listening to "Ghosts", Bill Mumy's best-of compilation, was Cat Stevens- a mellow cat Stevens. Right when I figured I had Bill pegged, a faster paced tune had a little more of an Eric Clapton sound. Wait. Doesn't "Can't Win This Game" (song #10 out of 20 tunes on this CD) sound like Bob Dylan? Are these the ghosts that haunt this recording? Yes, Bill definitely shows his 60's roots here. Nothing "roly-poly", just slow rock and roly (sorry!). "Ghosts" is deep and inspired, and if ever there was an album with that "late night" feel, this is it. Images of misty moonlight and long stretches of lonely highway kept creeping into my mind. Say, planning a long overnight road trip? Bring this CD along. Call it reflective. Call it shadowy or far-away feeling. Maybe even call it "ghostly". Oh, and did I mention the guy can pick a guitar..?
