I originally wrote this meditative piece in 1988 as my very first MIDI tune in my very first MIDI studio. Heck, I didn't even have a keyboard at that time, so I wrote this composition completely out of my head. At first, I used it in my work with mental health clients for hypnosis, meditation, etc. From there, it developed from a 15-minute piece to an hour-long experience. From the feedback I've received over the years, it just seemed appropriate, and overdue, to share it with the world. It's really nice under headphones; try it, you'll hear what I mean.

Good Medicine for the Mind
author: Raj ManoharanThis standalone disc was originally developed by New Age artist Michael Stribling (Songs of Hope and Healing; Out of the Darkness, Into the Light) as sonic meditation and relaxation for his therapy patients. The ambient MIDI-generated tones which comprise the single one-hour track achieve their intended purpose and then some. While the gentle, subtle waves of sound clear the mind of tension and stress, definite patterns and rhythms can be discerned and appreciated. The result is a CD that works both as pleasant background music and intellectual aural stimulation.
