"Dill Pickles, Bugz, and Other Feel Good Tunes" is the debut cd from children's artist Melissa Stevenson. The cd features nine toe tapping original tunes and 3 favorite traditional songs with a twist. Melissa has been an early childhood music educator for several years in Lafayette, LA. Her students are the inspiration for the upbeat, danceable fun songs! They have all been kid tested and approved. It's the perfect mixture of sweetness and pure silliness! Throughout the cd, children are taken on a journey through several different musical styles. Some of the styles featured include Cajun, Bluegrass, Swing, Rock, and Calypso. Accompanied by her husband Cal Stevenson on a variety of instruments, these songs will get you moving! The infectious melodies, clever choruses, and awesome sound will have parents loving the cd just as much as the kids do!

Great Cd. Going to be one of our standard gifts for new parents. Melissa's other band, The Figs, isn't aimed at being kids music, but my infant loves it. (as do any adults with good taste) I highly recommend checking them out too. www.thefigsband.com

author: Kristin Mack-HammerI really love this CD. I used it often in my preschool program at a natural history museum. The children enjoyed dancing to each one - especially Dill Pickles. Bonjour, Hola, Hello and Au Revoir, Adios, Goodbye are wonderful songs to use to open and end class.

I found myself quickly humming and singing along in just a short period of time. Tunes are fun to listen to and easy to learn. This is a must have CD for your young children and grandchildren. My two year old grandson loved all of the songs, but he particularly enjoyed Itch On My Back! He of course now has his own copy. Great job!
