    when cdbaby sent me the notification of this second release from m-seven, i was compelled to order my copy immediately. from the moment the package arrived, i was listening to it pretty much constantly for about a week! i even took it to work with me every day -at a bar in town- where it played out on repeat for the duration of each six-hour shift. it was interesting to hear so much positive feedback from such a wide variety of customers! so not only is this an album with great rotational stamina (ie, you just don't get bored of it), but also appears to have genuine mass appeal. i would agree with my fellow reviewers that, while comparable to 'activate', this does indeed soar to entirely new levels of sophisticated chill. my personal highlights are tracks five & six -'future you' & 'vanished'- which have the power to raise the hairs on the back of one's neck just as 'spiritual spy' (track twelve on 'activate') did the first few times that i heard it. in sum, 'stimulus' is a musical catalyst; providing the soundtrack to your swift deliverance unto lands of inspiration, & coolly illuminating the fire exit of the mind. i would highly recommend it to anyone.

    While I agree with the statements of other reviewers, this CD really lacked a song like Bilocation from the previous album. Aside from that, the album on the whole is a very strong second release and is certainly one of my favorite electronic albums this year.

    Every now and then an album comes along that has every thing you are seeking in terms of a chilled groove. The more you listen,the more it gives you. Only M-Seven can weave classical melodies with superb beats that take yor mind on a cool metaphysical journey into groovedom! M-Seven not only gives you quality grooves, he is not stingy with his talent, providing the listener with an abundant kalidiscope of mind tripping mixes. Stimulus is an instant classic!!

    I own so much electronic music now, that it really takes something special for me to sit up and take notice. This sophmore release from M-Seven did just that. With it's stunning balance between organic and synthetic music, this cd is breath of fresh air. Warm, fragile and intelligent soundscapes with a wonderful array of downtempo rhythms. The first album was enjoyable, but 'Stimulus' is on another level altogether. One of the very best of 2008! This is a very limited edition album, so I suggest you pick up a hard copy while you can, you will be glad you did !!!
