notes
An absolute gem of an album, from one of prog's fallow periods in the mid 90s. The most obvious comparisons to the band are Marillion and It Bites, but some tracks like 'Hobson The Traveller' and 'The Visitor' also have a 70s flavour which belies the youthfulness of the band. Shaun McGowan possesses a self assured guitar and vocal style, and there is some solid keyboard and rhythm section work throughout the album. It is a huge credit to the band that most of the tracks are around the ten minute mark, at a time when prog was still regularly reviled by the trendy sections of the music industry. With the recent reformation of the band. this and the other albums in the band's back ctalogue will hopefully receive the recognition they deserve.
