The idea for this CD was originally conceived at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in 1995 as a way for Mr. Jack Daniel's Original Silver Cornet Band to step out of their normal routine for just a moment and show the audience just how versatile the band could be.
With the addition of the clarinet soloing of festival favorite Bob Draga and a string bass, the little town band from 1905 Lynchburg, TN was transported right into the Bing Band Swing era.

Great CD, Angel eyes can bring tears

Not at all what I expected. It is excellent.
author: Peter DewsnapI expected a Brass Band attempting to play Big Band music and this usually fails. But this is a series of renditions by competent musicians with a stong feeling for the Big Band era. I recommend it.
