THE MOSAIC PROJECT is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. All proceeds from CD sales go directly towards our programs. We work towards a peaceful future by uniting children of diverse backgrounds, addressing issues of difference, and building self-esteem and community in our unique human-relations outdoor school.

The Mosaic Project Presents: Children Songs for Peace and a Better World highlights our unique musical curriculum including original songs about diversity, empathy, conflict resolution, and peace. Our positive messages are communicated in a poignant, respectful, fun way.

Our well-loved songs have been played on the popular San Francisco Bay Area radio stations KFOG, KPFA, and KPOO. While our music targets a 4th and 5th-grade audience, we have found it is hip and catchy enough to appeal to people of all ages, including teenagers and toddlers. Crossing many music genres with contagious melodies, and featuring songs in several languages, this album truly offers something for everyone. Not only is our music "cool," it is an extremely effective way of teaching about important issues:

    FANTASTIC! My students wrote a series of skits in which they applied the steps of conflict resolution. The CD was perfect for our skits- especially the song "Fighting is Not the Solution!" The kids learned the song and we sang it over and over again as we performed our skits for the third and fourth graders in our school. They really enjoyed listening to the other songs as well, especially "If I Were and ET." I plan on using the CD every year!!!

    Ok, I actually havent listened to it, but my 12 year old daughter heard the songs that they played them over and over at 6th grade camp this year so she copied and pasted the email and wanted it for christmas.
