"Reality," October 2006. The result of several months of hard work by the band, this new studio project is an effort to make their music and style known throughout the greater polka world. The Mon Valley Push was formed four years ago to keep push style polka music alive, but with a new twist Mon Valley Push style.
The band is: Frank Stetar, leader on trumpet and vocals from Daisytown, PA, Barry Niccolai on accordion and vocals from California, PA, Steven Rossi on trumpet and vocals from Greensburg, PA, Blake Haskins on Drums from Hopwood, PA, and Steven Molish on accordion from Daisytown, PA.
This first recording by the group showcases the band's ability to perform traditional standards, as well as newer tunes in their own style. Featured on "Reality" are tunes written by Lil' Wally and Don Peachy as well as "Dueling Banjos" done polka style as "Dueling Horns," all played with the new Mon Valley Push flare.
"Reality," by the Mon Valley Push caters to an audience that loves old standards done in a distinctive, new, and unique way as well as some tunes from the polka world of today.
The CD project is produced by Frank Stetar and distributed on the Mon Valley Push label.
