author: JimGREAT CD !!! I was looking for a copy, if it's even made, of a CD of the performance of "Fire on the Mountain"..and came upon this CD. And am I ever glad I did !!! It's not often I find a CD Appalachian music...what I usually find is Bluegrass...not that there's anything wrong with Bluegrass..I love it. Ms Andrews brings Appalachian music to life. She's awesome !!!! Hope to hear more from her.

She captures the heart of the mountains

It's incorporates our old country roots, yet it also resonates with the spirit of today's Appalachia. A great big plus,she doesn't try to genericize the accent to fit in with the masses. Bravo!
Beautiful songs interpreted by a beautiful voice

The vocals reach back to a time when a singer could haunt a song and really make you feel the story behind the words. This is true roots music with none of the trappings or hype of the prepackaged stuff that seems to be going around these days.
