Models Need Sleep was formed in 2007 by former solo artist, Andrew Essig, his brother, Grant Essig (former lead-singer or SevenStar), Matt Hickenbotham (of Colony) and Jon Armstrong (of Colony).
Lead-singer and songwriter Andrew Essig focuses on acoustic guitar, while Grant plays electric and offers up a dose of the electronic by way of multiple pedal and computer effects and also handles a large portion of production in the studio. Jon is featured on both electric guitar and bass on the album and all percussion is performed by Matt.
