notes
Michael Kitson's first performed Slient Night on the autoharp, solo, for his church congregation at the age of seven. Soon after Michael began playing the banjo, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and cello before settling into the rhythm of studying percussion in college. Throughout these years his musical taste was cultivated by Boogie Woogie piano, grunge rock, prog jazz, impressionism and modern Classical music and indie rock. Though styles, instruments and incarnations come and go, Michael remains predominantly a solo songwriter and recording artist. There is not much different about Michael's small seven year old voice singing Silent Night while quietly strumming the autoharp and the way he sings his songs and strums his guitar today.
