Matt Ketteman and Cameron Mizell are longtime friends who have played music in a variety of settings as long as it meant having a good time. That rapport is evident in these eight recordings, made one summer on a whim. Matt's warm baritone can carry each song alone, but Cameron's guitar tracks are a perfect foil, empathizing with each inflection. While the interpretations stay close to the originals, it is apparent both artists have internalized the music and enjoy performing them together.
Matt Ketteman has been singing since 1994. In 1999, while attending Missouri State University, he formed the Springfield, Missouri duo Mr. Green with singer-songwriter John Hull. He also performed and recorded with SMU’s accapella group The Beartones. He now teaches elementary school music in his hometown, St. Louis, Missouri.
Cameron Mizell, originally from St. Louis, MO where he met Matt Ketteman, now resides in Brooklyn, NY. He has three other albums available through CD Baby including his latest, “Life Is Loud”. Currently, he is leading an organ trio that performs regularly in the New York City area. He is thrilled to finally be able to release these recordings and showcase another side of his playing.
