notes
Miss Amy rocks out! A number of the tracks from this CD are part of her unique "Fitness Rock & Roll" program, but wait there's more!!
Included are a few cuts of Jazz legend Richie Cole and Klezmer great Susan Watts. The children’s music genre is a rapidly growing, but jazz and eclectic enthusiasts will also find unique opportunities to hear Richie’s voice on a call-and-response song, and Susan’s trumpet playing and singing on a fusion cut.
Richie performed on:
- Planetary Spin, a jazzy tour of our solar system with sax and vocals (only vocal recording of him in circulation), think “blue-sax-playing-Muppet” heckles Dinah Shore.
- Nightlight - a tribute to Nicola Tessla, Thomas Edison and Ben Franklin, a bebop-bluesy-swing (for more about Richie Cole go to http://www.AltoMadnessMusic.com)
Susan performed on:
- Degero, an original world-beat-Klezmer Song of the Seasons
Altogether a great album for folks who want to get-up and move to the music!

School Library Journal - July 2008
author: Jill Q. Altman“Miss Amy along with friends ‘Uncle’ Richie and Susan Watts lay down wonderful upbeat Big Band style jazzy set of child-friendly songs that lend themselves to hand and body motions. Among the topics covered on the 16 tracks are ‘The Planetary Spin’, ‘Nightlight’ (a tribute to Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison and Ben Franklin), ‘Weights & Measures’, ‘Amazing Body’, ‘Butterfly Effect’, and more. Other songs are about curiosity and not being afraid to ask questions. Teachers will have fun using these songs in the classroom!“

author: Allison SantosMiss Amy performed at our 2nd Annual Princeton Children’s Book Festival and she is outstanding! Her warm and friendly personality really shines through her music. She is energetic and the children are drawn into her performance with dancing and song. Miss Amy made this afternoon to remember for children and adults.
