Bare bones solo acoustic songs that are both humorous and touching with elements of blues, country and folk and subjects ranging from the positive side of losing to the unfortunate truth that nice guys often finish last.

notes

"...On her latest 6-song sampler, "Just Wrong Enough" Danielle stands solo playing guitar, harmonica and singing wiith stunning results.

Many performers can't pull off the stark reality of solo guitar and voice but Miraglia revels n the open space. Her voice is airy, strong and sweet while her guiitar accompaniment is spartan and effective..." - Doug Sloan, Metronome Magazine

"Danielle's songs are biting commentary on everyday triumphs and failings in relationships told in a new voice that is refreshing. Her live performance on WMPG lit the phones, as her way of telling stories in song is both engaging & funny mixed with sense of timing, musicality & guitar chops. Definitely worth a listen!"- Chris Darling, WMPG, Portland DJ for "US Folk."

"Danielle is a great songwriter. Have you heard her song 'Dysfunctional Home?'" - Kevin So, Singer/Songwriter and eight time Boston Music Award nominee.

"Smart, well-crafted songs!" - Eric Schwartz, Singer/Songwriter and main stage performer at the Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals.

The first album I ever owned was The Rolling Stones "Tattoo You." I was perhaps the only one in my Kindergarten class to have a crush on Mick Jagger. While the crush has faded, my love for the music has continued. I've also been influenced by many others including The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart, Bonnie Raitt, Melanie, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, Ani DiFranco, and Patty Griffin-- just to name a few.

I began playing guitar when I was thirteen, and immediately learned Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" by ear (yes, I am very proud to admit this). In high school I spent most of my time jamming classic rock songs with fellow young aspiring musicians and learning as much from my guitar player friends as possible. I didn't realize that I could sing without scaring small children until I was around nineteen (perhaps because I had been too busy growling "I AM IRON MAN").

I went to Emerson College and studied creative writing, vowing to become a novelist, however, after graduation, I found myself writing song lyrics instead, accompanied by acoustic guitar. I finally did my first open mic at the Kendall Café in Cambridge, in November of 1998 and since have continued to pick up momentum.

I'm currently hosting the Singer/Songwriter Series at The Burren in Somerville, MA every Sunday where I play my music and feature various wonderful performers.
