notes
Milo Z is to New York what The Funky Meters are to New Orleans: THE BEST DAMN FUNK BAND IN THE CITY.
This unit, comprised of some of the best musicians
in NYC, is like a cross between James Brown, Parliment/ Funkadellic, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Come hear and see New York's best kept secret and
you will not be disappointed. Milo Z tours frequently around the Northeast and has travelled throughout Eastern Europe and returns annually. Milo Z has also had songs featured in several films such as "See Spot Run" by Warner Bros., which featured David Arquette, Anthony Anderson and Paul Sorvino, and "The Deli" featuring Mike Starr, David Johansen, Iman, Jerry Stiller, Ice T, and Heavy D. Three songs from SWEET N' NASTY will be featured in the upcoming feature "Cupidity" directed by John Gallagher. To see a listing of upcoming shows, go to www.miloz.com for dates.

Milo-Z
author: Crusty Od HulkCD was great. Live performance even better. Good friends saw Milo at an open ampitheater in Greece and raved about him. When a live performance turned up at Mexacali Blues/NJ we made it an outing. Only bad note was the band that preceded him - awful. We arrived a 9:45 PM ( for Milo Z) and had to endure sheer torture of a Skaa ? band until 11:15PM (way too late). Milo Z is a class act. If you get the opportunity to catch him, don't miss it. His band is tight and he's a perfectionist. Great Horns, bass/vocals,lead guitar..all His voice is a cross between Brook Benton/Otis Redding/Barry White. We're senior citizens and could only stay until 12:30 AM when he began his second set. Is there a newer CD out that's not yet on CDBABY?

Gotta love MiloZ! Great in concert and great recorded, too. If you ever get the chance, see them live!
Sweet and nasty, down and dirty!
author: NikkiHow do you like YOUR funk? Down and dirty! Maybe that should've been the name of this rich, funked up CD! Milo Z gets to the heart of what makes funk grind! If you dig funk and you love a tasty groove, PICK IT UP!!! You can't help but groove to it!
I Want More...
author: Stavros BartzokasThis is a very enjoyable album, with a lot of energy that is immediately passed on to the listener. It takes a lot of effort to stay put, while this disc is spinning... As close as possible to a live feeling...

great voice, great musicians, great inspiration, great songs but most off all an amazing live performance!!!!
funky & nasty grooves
author: dimitris pittisMilo Z's voice reminds me of Gil Scott Heron too, but like G-Man said, REAL FUNKY. We were dancin like 3,5 hours in his concert in HALF NOTE JAZZ CLUB back here in Greece. Milo keep on!
Appropriately Titled!
author: JazGirl in Va. BeachThis CD jams! Friendly Talk is my favorite of the new Milo Z songs. I also love the funkier version of the old Milo favorite, "My Love is Food". I prefer their previous live CD, but this makes me want to get back to NYC for a Milo fix (live show). Tightest funk band in NYC! Appropriately titled!
Jammin- the best I ever heard
author: Michael BSaw them for the first time at the Riverfest 2005 in Knowlton Township, NJ - Can't wait until they are in Hoboken at the Whiskey Bar. Hopefully will be up front. Bought Sweet N' Nasty at Riverfest, ordering the others now.

Funk E Tigh T Milo Z
author: Tim HoyThe album does justice to an incredible band. Tighter and funkier than a big box of tight and funky things. This is my second Milo Z album and I want more please.
stylish, hard-to-find-artist nowadays. Go Milo, go...
author: Christos Saroglouwhatever has to do with the name of Milo Z is absolutely great. Caught him live @ Mylos club, Thessalonikee. Best live experience ever had. I've read a request of a user for other albums of Milo Z. We can't find anywhere Milo Z's previous albums. Why not buying from cdbaby.com ?
Lots of fun and worth the wait
author: VladimirI've loved the band since I caught them on a local cable show years ago. Now if only CDBaby could get their other CD's in stock--- I loaned 'em out and, well, never got 'em back. It's time they were made available again. Don't order thru WebTunes, I think they are defunct and can't get your money back.
