Mike's music is appealing to just about every type of audience. It is a synthesis of contemporary and traditional rock with poetic, storytelling lyrics. At the moment, Mike Rocket and The Stars, have regular gigs at venues along the east coast. But when this music catches enough ears, it should spread rapidly. Mike Rocket is getting ready to take off!!! Mike has already shown some promise with his song, "Caught In The Fog" (#4), which has been on the CBS Morning News-NY w/ Dave Price, who also recently introduced Mike Rocket & The Stars on The Early Show (CBS) and mentioned Mike on 92.3 FM NY. In addition, "Caught In The Fog" has been aired on 92.3 Free FM K-Rock, Q1043-FM NY on the "Out Of The Box" show. "Long Shot" (#7) has also been aired on Q1043-NY and 92.3 FREE FM NY.

Mike Rocket's music has been on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, the Early Show (CBS), and has had ten songs on major New York and Philadelphia radio/television stations in the past 4 years and has appeared multiple times on major Philadelphia radio stations this past year.

"No Clothes On" (#11) was cowritten by Richard Blackwell, former percussionist of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
The opening track of the CD,"Daisy Sue", captures the influences of Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Dave Mathews, and Steely Dan.
In "Out, Lost, And Running" (#6), you can hear shades of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Tom Petty.
There is a taste of country, the Eagles, and Jackson Browne in "Around The Country"(#3).
Mike even gets a little of the punk rock sound, mixed with current alternative pop rock in "All The Girls Like Nick" (#12).
The Out, Lost, And Running CD is a CD for any true fan of rock and roll. It appeals to almost all genres of music lovers.

    Cool CD. Caught in the Fog was awesome...great guitar playing and great rock n roll. Lots of soul in the music. a little hint of regae and jazz in Daisy Sue, a little bit of country in Around the Country and To See Her. Best songs on there are Long Shot and Hall of Fame. My girlfriend liked this cd too. She thought the dude was hot.

  • THE SONGS DON'T PLAY!

    Will someone please tell this guy that his "music" clips DON'T work?? How does he expect anyone to hear and buy his stuff if they can't listen to the songs? It's the same deal at his own website.

    This CD is unique and brings new sound to life. The artist is creative and poetic. I became an instant fan the moment I heard the song "Daisy Sue". The song has been resonating in my head since the moment that I turned this on. Truly a great find, and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something different and energizing.
