  • add some horror to your D&D game
    author: Badhammer

okay, i am going to start this out by admitting to being a huge nerd. I have played D&D for most of my life and I have loved horror for a little longer than that! So when I heard the Midnight Syndicate was creating an album that appealed to both of my interests I knew it was going to be great. This is another album which was marketted to me through a game shop, for good reason because I was the resident dungeon master. Having played many games of D&D with this as the background music i can fully attest to the FACT that this album is fantastic and really adds a nice feel to the game. I am a duneon master who likes background music, who likes to turn the lights down when there is a dungeon crawl, and who makes his players turn their cell phones off. This album is a hit, the guys of the Midnight Syndicate create a beautiful atmosphere in which the listener becomes part of this other world. I completely recomend this album.

Not my favorite from them but would be really good if you played the game while listening to it. Not very good just listening to it. Try again guys.

  • I love this cd.

I love the cd. It had lot's of great songs that are just as fun to listen to on it's own as it is when you are playing the game. I hope Midnight Syndicate makes a second cd to accompany this one. I am very happy I bought this cd.

  • it was very good

i like this cd because it gives back good memories of halloween horror nights

  • I was very pleased with this CD for D&D gaming background music.
    author: Wargame Review

I have been role-playing for many, many years and I had always tried to use music in the background for my games. Back in the 'dog days' of the hobby, there was little to choose from other than classical music and 'horror' tracks for Halloween. As time went on, more and more music became available to suit that need. Finally someone has done a CD/music soundtrack for gaming alone. This Cd has many tracks on it suit several different 'moods' that you might want for any game. Whether its suspense, action or dread, its all here. There are only a few tracks on the disk that might feel a bit like 'saturday morning cartoons' but most are not. A few songs are down right great. I would love to have the Midnight Syndicate do another disk! (Hint Hint!) I recommend this disk to all interested in 'mood/scene' music and would definitely recommend it to any role-play group, especially those interested in the fantasy (like D&D, LOTR etc.) or Horror genres (like Call of Cthulhu, Vampire etc.).
