Every once in a while a group comes along that combines the best elements of the past with the pulse of the present. Here we present to you Midnite & Daybreak a duo that does just that. Their music has a 21st Century freshness yet retains a familiarity of days gone by.
Midnite and Daybreak is more than just a name, it's a life concept. One that covers good and evil, right and wrong, love and lust, and light and darkness. The duo is composed of two very savvy and talented individuals.
Mr. Midnite, a native of South Central LA, and son of legendary rock & roll Icon Little Richard, and Daybreak a native of Jackson, MS. Mr. Midnite has been a part of numerous groups in the LA scene. He has also been writting for a number of years. Midnite has always had an affinity for the old school music of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Midnite's rich baritone rapping style is strong enough for men to identify with and sexy enough to make any woman swoon. Daybreak, a singer, producer, songwritter & musician has performed in the Little Richsrd Band for the past 10 years. He handles the vocal duties and production for the duo. Daybreak's soft tenor sound and delivery is reminiscent of greats like Curtis Mayfield and Sly Stone.
On their debut CD "Real Life" the duo deals with real situations in life such as love, drugs, partying and abuse. The album is full of positive thoughts and contains no profanity. Midnite and Daybreak believe that there are plenty of negative influences in the world and want to lead people away from darkness and into the light.
