Midnight To Twelve is an original rock band with phenomenal enthusiasm, energetic live shows and amazing fan appeal. Midnight To Twelve has toured the United States extensively making a name for themselves and gaining a huge following of new fans one city at a time. Beginning in Los Angeles, the Buzz and the Live Shows soon spread to Colorado, Oklahoma, Georgia, and throughout the rest of the country. In the fall of 2005, indie record label KORD Records signed Midnight To Twelve to a recording contract and immediately took them into the studio with multi-platinum record producer Sylvia Massy Shivy. King of Spain is the band's debut album release for KORD Records, and Rainy Day Records is pleased to be associated with KORD Records in the marketing and distribution of this brilliant new album.

awesome cd
author: Chris HuvilaI can't believe that they do not play this on the radio, it is that good. This is the way music is supposed to sound. Great stuff, and keep it coming.
this is the best rock cd i've listened to in years
author: bill mccormickmidnight to twelve's cd the king of spain is a refreshing upbeat album that comes at a time when rock has needed a good facelift. the title trac is phenomenal, however, the cd as a whole package is what really makes you wish for another release soon. the rock world has needed a new formula for true rock fans to embrace and midnight to twelve has figured out that formula with stong, versatile vocals as well as a strength and heart in the band that resinates throughout every trac. keep up the good work midnight to twelve, we need another release soon...the rock world needs more midnight to twelve.
Feels like and album taken straight from the wishing well.
author: Kaj RothThis explosive rock band was formed in 1999 and has slowly but steady built a loyal fanbase, count me into that bunch of rockers as well coz this type of 70's hardrock based modern rock with keyboards on top of it feels like an album taken straight from the wishing well. Muscle riffs and bluesy vocals, supermelodic and powerful rock made to be played loud is my cup of tea........no wonder Sylvia Massy Shivy wanted to work with these guys. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!
The band has a strong own sound...
author: Strutter MagazineCurrently making a buzz in the USA, the LA based band MIDNIGHT TO TWELVE has now released it’s debut full-length CD. The band features a very strong lead singer (Jon Hartman) is combined with the big heavy groovy guitarsound (and also keyboards). This band combines the Classic Rock/Blues rock of bands like BADLANDS and BLACK CROWES with a modern DISTURBED type of Metal approach, while the choruses may be classified as melodic rock. Although sounding typical American, so dark, heavy and groovy, the band has a strong own sound, which simply blows away all the childish punk pop rock in the Billboard Charts at the moment. This is serious Rock/Metal with soulful vocals and with songs like “King of Spain”, “Remembering” (super strong melodic rock chorus), “Slam” (catchy radio-ready tune) and the semi-ballad “Moment” (another perfect radio hit single), this band should be ready to have a big breakthrough in the USA someday soon. Their album has a big sound, thanks to multi-platinum producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (TOOL, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLAYER, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS). Highly recommended if you enjoyed the recent releases of RA, DISTURBED, HOOBASTANK, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, HEED, AVENGED SEVENFOLD…
one of the finest independent debut albums ever released
author: Mike NewdeckIt seems to be the way it’s going with more and more bands signing to smaller independent labels, shunning the majors, selling direct to the customer via the internet whilst producing some fine music to boot. Midnight to Twelve is the mainstay of Kord records, signed to a multi-album deal, selling their debut album as download and hard copy via their website. Gone are the days when independent labels produce substandard fare that merely mimics the mainstream. ‘King of Spain’ is without doubt one of the finest debut albums to see the light of day on an independent label. This L.A five-piece-driven along by the exquisite vocals of John Hartmann-manage to combine a modern hard-edged arena rock sound with some classic rock touches, including keyboards, Bonham-esque drumming and Hartman’s bluesy vocals. ‘How Bad’ is a rip-roaring hard rocker blending old school and modern guitar riffs with the title track following suit but at a slower tempo. The highlights come thick and fast, with the energetic live favourite ‘Slam’ the hooky keyboard riddled ‘Rhyme and Reason’ or the stunning ‘Future’ rubbing shoulders with more aggressive and almost Nickelback-like ‘Contain it’, ‘Too Much’ or ‘Checklist’. Produced by Sylvia Massy Shivy(Tool, Red Hot Chilli Peppers),‘King of Spain’ is more than just an above average album that will sit comfortably alongside the many mediocre yet canonized albums within your collection; this is the real deal, a real rock album made by real musicians for real people who love their modern hard rock. Unequivocally essential.
