The Real Deal!
author: Jeff RoeI,ve known Mike personally since we were in grade school. I jammed with him in the old days and Mike was always about creating quality music! Mikes talents as performer, producer, songwriter and artist are phenomenal-do yourselve's a big favor...buy this CD, and definitely go see his live show....you won,t be disapointed. I drove 7 hours across the desert last fall to catch his show in Pasedena and it was completely worth it! Rock on bro, we're behind you all the way!-Jeff

Gonna Get Some Quest
author: Richard Amery, Kenora Daily Miner and NewsTaste, restraint and wit are the watchwords for Otisville , Michigan based bluesman Michael Quest. He is best known for the song 24-7-365, but as soon as I heard My Next Wife Met My X-Wife, I had to pick up his CD, 24-7-365. It is a great idea sung with tongue firmly in cheek in the vein of George Thorogood’s Get a Haircut (And Get a Real Job). He has a great restrained rhythm on Ready To Go. He also plays some mean surf flavoured instrumentals, Q-Surf and Jumble. Tasty. He has a lot of excellent up-tempo testosterone drenched downright hilarious numbers including Gonna Get Some, and the Kind of Crazy I Like and Apartment Blues. And listening to him play all the right notes in all the right places, you know he could tear your ears off if he wanted to, but he chooses not to. His restraint makes this Quest all the sweeter.
Interesting and superbly performed.
author: Indie Shout (editor@indieshout.com)Michael Quest sounds similar sounding to George Thorogood, except Michael doesn't end up getting boring. The songs are well crafed, interesting, and superbly performed. The recording quality is the most professional of any CD to land in the Indie Shout mailbox. The song "Unwanted Man" is just plain fantastic. It's the kind of song every artist hopes to write. The vocals are very powerful and the guitar riff is genius. Overall, you can tell Michael Quest enjoys his music. It's immediately apparent that he put all of himself into the effort while creating his CD. The result is a very fun listen.
4 stars out of five
