notes
Straight from the streets of Flatbush, Brooklyn we begin the music path of Mental-Vision. It started at the age of 12 with simple journal entries, which later turned into poetry. Then in 1998, after MV's first open mic performance on stage, something happened! He could not stop thinking about music; he became obsessed with it. He went to bed with music on his mind, and woke up writing. He constantly wrote, and would spend nights in front of his mirror perfecting his skill. As his skill developed, his passion and dedication did as well.
Some of his music influences growing up were, Michael Jackson, Rakim, Slick Rick, Kriss Kross, Aerosmith, and Tupac Shakur.
He choose the name Mental-Vision because he paints the REAL picture for the people. Vision reveals the truth. Mental-Vision's incredible word play allows him to disassemble any instrumental that crosses his path. His passion seeps through every track he lays a verse on. MV's message is REAL, and HEARTFELT. Mental is truly one of the last real soldiers left- listen to the words people.
Mental feels the world needs to begin utilizing their minds and creativity (everyone has a little bit in them). Basically, what I'm saying is that the rap game has our followers believing they have no options or choices, and i want to change that.
MV brings that raw, underground, soulful sound-
"I'm bringing it man, watch"
