MELODY GUY

Melody's 3rd CD, Signs Of Trouble, is a blend of realism, showing the maturity of someone who knows the signs of trouble and has the strength and wisdom to move on. Melody has moved on, and has continued to write songs, reaching out to tell the stories of not only her own life's lessons, but also of others who have special struggles.
The songs on this album have lessons learned and show triumph over problems that everyone can relate to, and show a new attitude that can only come from experience.
Melody's heartfelt songwriting is honest and direct. Her unpretentious blend of country, blues provides the backdrop to explore her emotional quest for true love and self-discovery. From the first time you experience her music, she embraces you and welcomes you as a trusted friend, privileged to her darkest secrets and brightest joys.
Her songwriting draws comparisons to Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Kim Richey and Melissa Etheridge, but the voice and stories are all Melody Guy.
Melody is no stranger to the spotlight and has shared the stage with Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Aaron Tippin, Leon Russell, Andy Griggs, Chris LeDoux, Joe Diffie, The Warren Brothers, Nanci Griffith, Jim Messina, Dan Seals, Lee Ann Womack, Chad Brock, Steve Azar, Sheree Austin and Rosie Flores. Her intuitive band displays tasteful restraint that allows Melody's voice and songwriting to shine through without losing the strength and passion of her personality. Her live performances are an impassioned mix of honesty and pure fun that make you feel like she's playing in the living room and singing just for you.

Oh My Heck! (in Utah, that means "WoW"
author: CarieI don't really like country, but I have known Melody for about my whole life, and her music speeks to my soul. Her songs are about Mr. & Mrs. Everyman, in all walks of life. She teaches life lessons as she touches your spirit. When I sing along, I almost feel like I can sing like her. WOW!!!Love ya Mel!!
Melody...I loved the song you sang at Hayden's in Tualatin about your son. I was there one night with my brother... He took me there to hear you sing...I loved it. You are a courageous woman. I can't say his name, but he works for TVF&R.....??????
I have actually met this woman!
author: miss melodyMelody's music has inspired me from the moment I heard her play at a Portland Riverfront! HerCd signs of trouble is not my favorite, but that is only because her 1st one touched my soul. Signs of trouble is more upbeat and reminds me of a Bonnie Raitt style. I am a huge fan of her music and I'd say "shine" is my fave on this cd.
It's time for Melody
author: JUERGENMelody Guy. The first name is program and commitment at the same time. Today still a sleeper and tomorrow?? Who knows! With her already third CD SIGNS OF TROUBLE the yet manifold prized singer and songwriter has disposed herself into the circle of the entirely big ones and she don't have to dread any comparisons. Equipped with a talent that looks for one's peers she writes lyrics and melodies full of feelings, longings, disappointments and hopes. No, she's not a greasy tear jerking country-aunty. Far from it! Melody is transbordering. To read the full review, come to my website and press the 'music' button....
