"Guitar Recital" is the debut recording from classical guitarist Megerdich Mikayelian. In this 13 piece set, Mikayelian performs classic works by Latin American and Spanish composers, as well as his own unique arrangements of Armenian folk music. This CD is a collage of sounds and colors that will delight satisfy a cross-section of music enthusiasts.
Born to Armenian parents in Lebanon, MegerdichMikayelian studied at the Musical College of Beirut as well as Komitas Conservatory of Music in Yerevan, Armenia. He is currently a professor of guitar at the Lebanese National High Conservatory, P. Ganatchian Musical College, and the Sourp Khatch Musical College all located in Lebanon.
