In a music scene stagnant with boy bands, pseudo punk rock and generic rock and roll, MDM is a clean breath of fresh air. Combining elements of Techno, Metal and Industrial they've formulated a style of music that is both powerful and heavy, yet melodic and catchy.

MDM is a three-piece electronic band from Niagara Falls Ontario, Canada, with a legion of devoted fans spanning the globe. To date, they have released two full-length cassettes, entitled Traumatia Dire in 1995 and Vampires of the Western World in 1996 as well as three full length CD's entitled Afloat on the River Styx in 1998, Dawn of a New Order in 2000 and Unified State of Aggression in 2003. They have also appeared on numerous compilation CD's worldwide and contributed a song for The Making of Matrix:Reloaded DVD on Warner Bros. Pictures.

MDM's stage performance is where they truly shine. Each show has a new twist keeping it fresh and exciting. From metal grinders and video effects to their intense light show and cage dancers, they round out the performance to make the stage show look as big as the heavy-bottomed beats blasting through the P.A.

Charismatic and unpredictable, NUX, DT, and SINic have the ability to captivate anyone in the room with their powerful sounds and intriguing stage imagery. From one show to the next, you'll never know what to expect. MDM is not your traditional everyday band; they are modern and spontaneous with a great love for what they do. They always give a night to remember and leave you begging for more!!!

Spending the last eight years and five albums in the making, MDM has matured into a style that they can truly call their own. Heavy and aggressive, yet groovy and danceable, their brand of electronic music will slam you in the face and crush your ribcage all the while keeping your ass moving on the dance floor!!!

  • Aggressive is right, I love this music.

The music on this particular album is incredibly aggressive and very emotive, the guitar is grinding, the vocals are awesome, and the rythm keeps me going. I'm enthralled with the band and I can't wait to purchase more of the albums they have.

  • Amazing CD, very giid

The sound is quite good. The songs are similar to KMFDM and the voice is similar to the band CUBANATE. I recommend this cd to fans of KMFDM, TERMINAL CHOICE, SAINTS OF EDEN... In general good quality industrial metal band.

... I really think the last person that left a review on this one wasnt even paying attention to the music at all. Aw well, just shows how fuckin stupid some can be. With that set aside, these guys have some great tracks and samples. Makes my head ache trying to figure out whether to dance to it or to headbang my ass off to it. Really cool feeling, if ya ask me.

  • political'??? just more shitty samples...

you americans are so fucking dumb if you think there is a real credible political clout to this...

  • Not bad, albeit a bit too political

Excellent, well organized industrial anger. Take Marilyn Manson, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, NIN, and put them all together. Actually sound at first like MDM is advocating war. Guess it's actually sarcastic. My American GI buddies love it. Oh, by the way... ...They're ALL Republican Conservative.

  • This reminds me of the old days of...

...Command and conquer.. this music really makes me want to play some hard core command and conquer.. really it does, and i loved the music in that game. It fit the mood of relentless war. The lyrics of this band though, as it seems on this album, are focused against war, well, more or less against wreckless war, and well it does a good job of that, the lyrics are hard hitting and well written. backed up by music that can make you picture what they are going against, which means you get a feeling of how the world actualy does need to change, and how music like this can actualy help to do just that. Its great to know that some people care.. Even canada it seems is getting angry at the US.. good job MDM, someone needs to take bushes ego down a bit, and damn those samples sure do the job well.

even better than their last album! and that is saying a lot. deep beats with heavy guitars, samples of bush, good electronics and gritty vocals. what more could you want?! favorite tracks were Kemical Halo and Thru My Eyes. if you are a fan of bands like KMFDM, Acumen Nation, 16volt, Chemlab than give this cd a try. you will not be disappointed.

  • Hard-hitting, musically AND politically!

An amazing album, by a band that doesn't compromise their beliefs in an attempt to please everyone. Personal favourites are the tracks "Means To An End" and "Thru My Eyes". Top-notch production quality, and a fury behind the lyrics that is reminescent of the late, great Rage Against The Machine. You don't just listen to this one....it jumps out of the speakers and attacks you!

  • Die hard republicans need not apply =)

Words won't do this CD justice. Just listen to the samples. It's difficult to pick the 'best' song on this CD, but if I had to do it I would say tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 10. I can't narrow it down any further than that. Don't miss track 69 though. Oh, and 'rm -rf /Users/nux'? Must be using Mac OS X... Further proof, this band R0X0R5! ;-)

  • Excellence.
