Imagine an EDGIER Avril or Kelly Clarkson and mix in some Evanescence. I've been described as a cross between Sarah McLachlan and Green Day. I get MOODY, ANGRY and even (yikes.) MUSHY. Maybe you've heard my songs already on "CHARMED" or "LAGUNA BEACH"

On this self-revealling record Danielle has fused together a work of art that Screams out her frustrations, Cheers her discoveries and Explores her doubts and fears. " 'Twelve" " has been like a not-so-secret diary that documents an impressionable time in my life."
Danielle teamed up with producer and fellow Nelly Furtado band-mate, guitarist Mike K. to create a record that will rock and empower you. Music lovers of all kinds can relate to the songs on "Twelve". The harder edged rock lover may attach to "Didn't Want It This Way" and "Never Coming Home". Excellent CD
author: Brent from FloridaI like every song on this CD. Fantastic vocals and music. A real masterpiece. Great rock and pop-rock songs, with a couple of great ballads added. I own more than 150 CDs, and this Danielle McKee CD is one of the best that I have had the privilege of owning.
More Than Mine
author: shishir raito good
Absolutely fantastic agressive poprock
author: Tuomo SipolaEvery time I listen to Danielle's excellent vocals I think I'm listening to mainstream radio station. She is a good singer and really emotes through her singing. The production, guitars, drums, vocals, everything fits in perfectly. The songs are different enough from each other. I like it.
songs for the soul

Danielle has rocking out down to an art!
author: karaThis is top notch material. Very catchy with vocals that mean business! This CD rocks. She has the ability and talent to go far. Stand out tracks are Never Coming Home, Didn't Want It This Way, I'll Be There, If I'm Not, Not Today, and Let Me, but the whole CD is great. Worth buying.
OH Man AM I impressed by this one!!!
author: Darryl KoymI heard a song from this CD while I was in a theater waiting for a movie to start and I listened to see who it was. I started looking for this CD immediatly!! She knows how to rock let me tell you!!! This is a wonderful CD that no one should hesitate to buy.
Catchy Album that Gets Better and Better
author: AnnieThis album is great! It's got some of the catchiest songs I've heard in a long time. She sounds like a combination between Skye Sweetnam and Avril Lavigne for the most part. I loved all of the songs on the album. The only song that didn't seem to fit was "If I'm Not" which sounded almost like Destiny's Child. Otherwise, awesome album. My favorite songs are "Didn't Want it this Way", "Never Coming Home", "I'll Be There", "Can't Believe" and "Let Me". Don't hesitate to buy this album.
A few words of praise, a few words of advise for a slick and talented debut.
author: Ariel S. LeeI actually found this CD because it was linked to mine...and decided to give it a try. This is what I have to say: the vocals are excellent; Danielle has a unique and flexible voice. Production is great, very slick. The instruments sound right, as well. The only problem I have are with the songs themselves. The hooks aren't catchy enough to propel this into any kind of mainstream pop...and though some of the lyrics are perfect, others are cliche. The "i'll be there" could work as a bridge or prechorus, but as a chorus, what does it have to offer? However, I think that if the songwriting could be tweaked a little, this artist could have a LOT going for her. There's talent. Good luck!
Danielle McKee clearly has an outstanding future ahead of her.
author: Mike NewdeckThis high quality debut album from former Nelly Furtado backing singer Danielle McKee sees her join forces with guitarist and producer Mike K (also Nelly Furtado) and top Canadian session drummer Randy Cooke to give twelve songs of edgy pop rock that are the equal of anything recorded by the likes of Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch or Kelly Clarkson. ‘I’ll Be There’, ‘Like Nobody Else’, ‘Over You’, ‘Not Today’, ‘Never Coming Home’ or the slightly edgier ‘Let Me’ are hits waiting to happen, whilst the crunching opener ‘Didn’t Want It This Way’ or album closer ‘More Than Mine’ show controlled melodic aggression more familiar to followers of the female fronted Scandinavian outfit Lambretta . On the evidence of ‘Twelve’ Danielle McKee clearly has an outstanding future ahead of her. And my advice to the major record labels?....start forming an orderly queue now!!!
she rocks x10
author: rick poythressshe will be the next hit star cause
fantastic and new!
author: Justineall the songs on this cd are great... she has a new refreshing style... i enjoy listening to it and would like to hear more from her soon!
Album of the year?
author: Dave SmithIt is January 2005, and this cd is already a contender for my cd of the year. It rocks... Danielle McKee deserves wider recognition. I am from the UK and given the chance I would help her find this recognition. The album may only be 36 minutes and a few seconds long, but within it's 12 tracks, there is not a filler in sight. All I can say is BUY OR DIE!!! This CD is called 'TWELVE', and it cost me the US$ equivalent of EXACTLY 12 pounds sterling!! Perhaps there is a message there!!!!!The world should give this gal the chance she so richly deserves.
Captivating tunes, varied songs, awesome voice...
author: InstrumentalTHIS IS THE BEST DAMN POP/ROCK CD I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME. Crossed with Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morissette and Avril Lavigne, Danielle McKee offers a captivating and varied sound. There are so many artists who can only deliver one flavour - you skip through their cd thinking... next, heard it, sounds familiar. But each song on Twelve has it's own, unique personality. Danielle presents us with a mosaic of tunes and lyrics that will satisfy those looking for something fun and fresh.
a jaw-dropping talent
author: Jefferson T.This can't be a debut album. The song-writing talent and advanced, thought provoking lyrics are astonishing for someone deemed a 'new-comer'. I was blown away by the addicting hooks and melodies and surprised at how uninhibited Miss McKee is as she bares her soul for the listener. A TOP 5 cd after the first play, Danielle shines her undeniable star power and jaw-dropping talent unto the listener. I should warn you then, not to pass over this very important album.
This girl rocks...if you are looking for fresh..than this is the place!
author: ToddamusThis girl can sing, the lyrics are hip and the melodies get stuck in your head. Played it 6 times the first day! If this disc does not garner attention from the masses than I would be shocked. Buy this now...it is money well spent!
